Launched: January, 7, 2004. ESPN Deportes is a 24-hour, Spanish-language sports network serving the U.S. Hispanic sports fan.

Programming:
more than 1400 live and/or original hours of sports programming presented annually, including Dominican Baseball League, Pacific League Baseball from Mexico, NBA, NFL, MLB, UEFA Champions League, Wimbledon, and more; its own original Spanish-language production of SportsCenter; and other news and information shows including ESPN Perfiles, Béisbol Esta Noche, Fuera de Juego, Fútbol Picante, Cronómetro, and NFL Semanal.

History:
ESPN Deportes began as a Sunday night programming block in July 2000 when ESPN and Major League Baseball offered Spanish-language telecasts of the Home Run Derby and select Sunday Night Baseball games. Starting in 2001, ESPN Deportes began offering full Sunday Night Baseball and Sunday Night NFL schedules, as well as boxing.

Brand Extensions:
The roster of ESPN Deportes-branded initiatives includes ESPNdeportes.com, ESPN Deportes Radio, ESPN Deportes La Revista, ESPN Deportes Wireless, which offers mobile phone subscribers images of their favorite Latino sports stars, and ESPN Deportes on Demand, launched in October 2005 with events and magazine shows offered.
