Former Northwestern defensive back Chris Martin was named a football analyst for the Big Ten Network in July 2007. Martin also regular appears on BIG TEN TONIGHT during the week. Martin joined the Big Ten Network after spending two years as a college football analyst for ESPN Regional covering Big Ten, Big East and Mid-American Conference games.

As a player, Martin was a three-year starter, four-year letterman as cornerback for Northwestern University from 1992-95. He was a member of the Big Ten Championship season and Rose Bowl team in 1995. Following his career at Northwestern, Martin signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent and played one season in 1996.

Martin currently resides in Evanston, Illinois.
