Athens, GA (Dec 3, 2007) - I worked as a runner on Pat Haden's crew way back in the 1980's when he was with CBS Sports. Haden will be broadcasting the 2008 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl for Fox Sports. Here is his profile as published by NBC Sports.
Pat Haden joined NBC Sports in the fall of 1998 to take over analyst duties on the network’s coverage of Notre Dame football.
Haden came to NBC after working as an NFL analyst for TNT from 1990 to 1997. From 1982 to 1990, Haden served as an analyst on college and professional football broadcasts for CBS. Prior to his television work, Haden was a six-year veteran of the NFL, having played quarterback with the Los Angeles Rams from 1976 to 1981. He began his Ram’s career as the team’s Rookie of the Year and in 1976 was voted to the Pro Bowl. In 1978 the Washington D.C. Touchdown Club named Haden the NFL Player of the Year.
A 1975 graduate of the University of Southern California, Haden led the Trojans to three Rose Bowl appearances and two National Championships; he was named Co-Most Valuable Player of the 1975 Rose Bowl. He was also an Academic All-American in 1974 and 1975 and is a member of the G.T.E. Academic All-American Hall of Fame.
