NFL Credentials Media from 116 International Outlets for Super Bowl XLII

Athens, GA (Feb 2, 2008) - Some sports blogs out in the wild are expressing dismay that they could not get a coveted media credential for Super Bowl XLII. Frankly, they have little argument to support their goal because unlike people in the traditional media, they are not scratching out a living covering the NFL and the teams. Granted, many of them deserved a credential before the reporter dressed as a bride, but they are not the outlets sought by the NFL.

The NFL has credentialed 116 international media outlets. While some make sense, it is not clear why outlets from Thailand and South Africa can get credentials, while one or two credentials could not have been set aside for a bloggers "lottery". Here is the list of accredited international media outlets, as published by the NFL.
