The 2008 NFL Broadcast Assignments for Week 12

Athens, GA (Nov 22, 2008) - I will have to admit I was tired when I saw the Fox Sports press release for this weeks games. The headline read "Nine-Time Pro Bowler John Lynch Joins NFL on FOX as Game Analyst". For some reason, my eyes focused on "Pro Bowler". Why would Fox hire a bowler to be a football analyst? Were members of the PBA so desperate to get back on network TV that they had to resort to cross-promotion as football analysts to help their cause? Then I rubbed my eye and read the press release again.

Of course it was not a bowler. Veteran NFL player and 9-time Pro Bowl selectee John Lynch has joined the Fox Sports NFL team. He will be paired with Chris Rose for the Vikings - Jaguars game. Fox Sports NASCAR reporter Krista Voda will join the team on the sideline.

Tennessee finally gets a visit from the CBS A-team. Since they are playing host to the New York Jets, it is not much of a surprise.

Fox Sports has the doubleheader this weekend.

Byes this week: None as bye weeks are done for the 2008 season.
