After taking a bye week ourselves last week (i.e. not posting the week 9 assignments), we are back with the week ten broadcast assignments for the
2009 National Football League season. Of course, because of the timing, we are not including last night's
NFL Network game between da
Bears and the
49ers. We think
Jay Cutler wishes nobody knew the game was on the schedule.
Fox Sports has the doubleheader this week, as part of a seven game line-up that includes
Chris Rose calling the game between the undefeated
New Orleans Saints against the 1-7
Saint Louis Rams.
Over on
CBS Sports,
Gus Johnson is headed to the Bay area to call the game between the
1-7 Kansas City Chiefs and the
2-6 Oakland Raiders. Perhaps it is good that he gets this dog of a game so that he can save his voice for his increased workload
calling college basketball games for the
Big Ten Network. The game might be worth watching just to see if and how Johnson can get himself hyped up enough to make the game at least sound exciting.
NBC Sports has the
6-2 New England Patriots visiting Indianapolis hoping the end the
8-0 Indianapolis Colts hope for a perfect season. Note to NBC Sports: This one needs no hype as it really is the much watch game of the day.
ESPN and
ESPN Deportes have the
the old Browns visiting the
new Browns, err the
4-4 Baltimore Ravens visiting the
6-2 Cleveland Browns for a pretty important division game on Monday night..
Byes this week: Houston Texans, New York Giants
Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans
