CBS Sports and NFL Films To Air AFL History in Full Color on Saturday

Documenting the history of the National Football League (NFL) is what NFL Films does best. On Saturday, February 6, 2010, CBS Sports will be teaming up with NFL Films to present back-to-back specials. The first, airing at 2:00 PM ET, focuses on the 2009 NFL Follies. The second, airing at 3:00 PM ET, is a full-color history of the American Football League (AFL).


CBS Sports producer Ross Schneiderman is the coordinating producer for both specials.

CBS Sports presents NFL Films' FULL COLOR FOOTBALL: HISTORY OF THE AFL on Saturday, Feb. 6 (3:00-4:00 PM, ET). FULL COLOR FOOTBALL is a one-hour special on the history of the American Football League. In a decade of change, the AFL's larger-than-life personalities and wild style of play helped turn professional football into America's number one sport. FULL COLOR FOOTBALL features rare footage of AFL legends, including Joe Namath, Len Dawson, Hank Stram and Al Davis, as well as brand-new interviews with Bill Belichick, John Madden, Dan Rather and Larry King. Jim Birdsall narrates for this NFL Films production. Ross Schneiderman serves as coordinating producer.
