Play NCAA Division I Hoops With One Hand? No Problem!

Kevin Laue played his freshman year of NCAA Division I basketball in relative obscurity. As a reserve center for the Manhattan Jaspers of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), the 6-11, 230 pound Laue only scored seven points over 50 minutes in 19 games this year. Nothing phenomenal there. What is great about his story is that he is following in the footsteps of former Major League Baseball pitcher Jim Abbott, playing his sport with only one hand.

His obscurity may have ended last night with this story on NBC News.
