The Best Moment in The Cowboys - Jets Game

CBS Sports got stuck with a real turkey of a game for Thanksgiving 2008. The Jets playing at the Cowboys has been a real snoozer. There was a little hope that Kelly Clarkson singing at halftime might be a bright spot. She did not let anyone down, but not for the reason you might think. She was there to sing in support of the Salvation Army, and how important it is to give money in the red buckets. So what does she sing for the first song? A song with the repeating line of "Just walk away." That was great symmetry to be sure, but it was not the best moment. I loved the hear Clarkson sing on American Idol, but somebody has really ruined her voice and charm. The make-up was less than flattering. Halfway through the first song, the network signal was lost and we got bars and tone. THAT was the best moment!

Too bad Jim Nantz and Phil Simms had to get the lousy game and the halftime show.
