Colin CowherdAthens, GA (Nov 9, 2007) - ESPN Radio allowed Colin Cowherd to travel to Athens today for a live broadcast of his radio show "The Herd with Colin Cowherd". Cowherd can be controversial and is not very well liked in the blogosphere.

But he loves that. "How many jobs are out there that you are paid to be hated, and you love your job?" Cowherd said in response to my question if he still hated bloggers. He continued on by saying that "all bloggers do is write stuff that drives traffic to my web site and listeners to my show. My advertisers love it, so I am thankful so may people hate me."

This is very true, but I have to wonder why he hates them so viciously back. After all this is what he once said on his show, as cited on my other blog:

Colin Cowherd"If bloggers had any real talent,
they would not be writing blogs". Yes, ESPN Radio's Colin Cowherd said this morning as I was driving to get lunch. This was part of his diatribe against Wikipedia, blogs and other "new media", saying that anything posted on there should not be taken seriously and people like golfer Fuzzy Zoeller should not be paying them any credibility by suing them, or people who post on them, for liable.

Colin Cowherd takes questions before starting his show.

If he is going to talk like this, he should share the love and give the web addresses of the bloggers who write about him. Why not help their advertisers as well?
