Mid-American Conference (MAC) Hoops in Midst of 59-Game Television Package

Cleveland, OH (Dec 10, 2007) - The Mid-American Conference (MAC) is in the midst of a college basketball season that includes a 59-game men's and women's basketball league television package, with on FOX Sports Net Ohio, Comcast Local and the ESPN Family of Networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN360.com).

The men's basketball television schedule began on Thursday, November 22 as Miami took on South Alabama in the Anaheim Classic (ESPNU) and will culminate with quarterfinal (FSN Ohio), semifinal (FSN Ohio) and Championship game (ESPN2) coverage of the FirstEnergy MAC Men's Basketball Tournament on March 12-15.

Michael Reghi will be joined by MAC Hall of Famer and former Toledo and Philadelphia 76ers standout Steve Mix as talent for the MAC men’s basketball syndicated package, while Jeff Phelps and Robin Muller will make up the talent for the women’s package.

FSN Ohio will once again produce a “MAC Scoreboard Show” between games on the four (4) doubleheader weekends (Jan. 26, Feb. 2, Feb. 9 and Feb. 16). The show will be hosted by FOX 8’s Tony Rizzo and FSN Ohio’s Kendall Lewis.

Additionally, the field for the 2008 O’Reilly ESPNU BracketBusters event on Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23 will include all 12 Mid-American Conference schools. BracketBuster pairings will be made in early February and will be televised on the ESPN Family of Networks.

The women's basketball television schedule begins Wednesday, January 9 as Ball State travels to Western Michigan for a 7 p.m. tip (Comcast Local) and contains eight regular-season telecasts in addition to MAC Women's Basketball Tournament semifinal and championship games telecast on FSN Ohio and Comcast Local. The 10 MAC tournament games that will be televised will be the most that the conference has ever had aired.
