Athens, GA (Dec 5, 2007) - Barry Pederson is a studio analyst for Boston Bruins coverage on NESN. This is his profile as published by the New England Sports Network (NESN).

Barry Pederson serves as a Boston Bruins Studio Analyst on NESN during select Boston Bruins games. His duties include pre-game analysis on W.B. Mason's Bruins Face-Off Live, intermission commentary, and post-game analysis during the network's Boston Bruins post-game show Granite City Electric Bruins Overtime Live.

The Big River, Saskatchewan native was Boston's first choice (18th overall) in the 1980 entry draft. In his first full season with the Bruins (1981-82) Pederson scored a team rookie record 44 goals and finished second in the Calder Trophy voting as the NHL's most outstanding rookie. Despite playing only 5 full seasons with the Bruins, Pederson still ranks 20th on the all-time Bruin points list with 417.

In 1986, Pederson was traded to Vancouver as part of the blockbuster trade that brought Cam Neely to the Bruins. He returned to Boston during the 1991-92 season to finish his career after stints in Pittsburgh and Hartford.

Pederson served as a Boston Bruins color analyst on WBZ Radio during the 1995-96 season. He currently works for A.G. Edwards in Boston.
