Known as the "Voice of the Irish," Tony Roberts celebrated 26 years as the lead radio voice for the national broadcasts of Notre Dame football. He has also served as the voice of Indiana University basketball and football, Navy football, Washington Senators baseball and Washington Bullets (now Wizards) basketball. Roberts has won seven Sportscaster of the Year awards and garnered the same number of AP sports reporting awards. In 2005 Tony Roberts was inducted into the Indiana Broadcasters Hall of Fame, the Holiday Bowl Hall of Fame, and the College Football Hall of Fame.
