Peter Kostis is an on-course reporter and golf analyst for CBS Sports' golf coverage. This is his profile as published by CBS Sports.

Peter Kostis, who serves as an on-course reporter for the majority of the CBS Television Network's golf tournaments and as an analyst for the Masters and the PGA Championship, joined CBS Sports in 1992 as an announcer for its golf coverage. He also served as USA Network's lead golf analyst from 1990 to 2004.

Kostis is recognized worldwide for his teaching ability and, as a member of Golf Digest's teaching staff for more than 25 years, has had many famous students, including Steve Elkington, Bernhard Langer, Tom Purtzer, Mark Calcavecchia and Deb Richard. He has also helped several celebrities in their pursuit of mastering the game, including Kevin Costner, Maury Povich, Dan Marino and baseball notables Jim Rice and Mike Schmidt. He and Gary McCord are partners in the Kostis/McCord Learning Center in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Kostis was born Dec. 23, 1946, in Sanford, Maine. He lives with his wife, Sandy, in Paradise Valley, Ariz. They have two sons.
