WCSN was co-founded by Claude Ruibal, chairman & CEO, and Tom Hipkins, EVP & general counsel, and is managed in coordination with Carlos Silva, president & COO. WCSN has a strategic partnership agreement with Major League Baseball Advanced Media, LP (MLBAM), the interactive media and Internet Company of Major League Baseball, for its website WCSN.com. WCSN’s lead investor is InterMedia Partners, a private equity firm that invests in media content providers. InterMedia Partners serve the content needs of diverse communities of interest across all platforms, including broadcast, publishing, broadband and direct marketing.

MANAGEMENT

Claude Ruibal, Chairman and CEO. Prior to co-founding WCSN, Mr. Ruibal had extensive experience working in new media, television production, distribution, sales, sports marketing and advertising. His past experience includes: ISL Worldwide; The Coca-Cola Company; Ask Jeeves International; Saatchi and Saatchi Advertising, and the Los Angeles Olympic Games. A native of Riverside, Calif., Mr. Ruibal holds a BA degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a law degree from Georgetown University.

Carlos Silva, President and COO. Mr. Silva has unparalleled experience running some of the largest web destinations in the World: AOL News, AOL Sports and AOL Money. As an accomplished strategist, skilled in business development, general management, operations, content licensing, product design, and recruiting, Mr. Silva brings a set of relationships and capabilities that will be key to ensuring WCSN delivers on its broadcast, online and wireless vision. Mr. Silva holds a BS from Boston College and MS degree from George Washington University.

Thomas C. Hipkins, EVP and General Counsel. Prior to co-founding WCSN, Mr. Hipkins was co-founder of Prisma Sports & Media AG (now Infront Sports & Media) a joint venture with the Kirch Media Group, served as General Counsel at ISL Worldwide and prior to that practiced law with Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft. Originally from Ohio, Mr. Hipkins holds a BA from Ohio Wesleyan University and a law degree from George Washington University.

Bo LaMotte, SVP, Affiliate Relations. Mr. LaMotte comes to WCSN from the Tribune Company at Superstation WGN, where he was Vice President of Affiliate Sales & Marketing. With his extensive experience in strategic planning and contract negotiations, Mr. LaMotte will help expand and build WCSN as a major sports network across broadcast television and other distribution platforms. Prior to the Tribune Company, LaMotte was the Vice President, Affiliate Sales and Marketing for Fox Family/ABC Cable Networks. Mr. LaMotte holds a BA from the University of Virginia.
