Mike Corey, Play-by-play
Mike Corey began his broadcasting career while at the University of Massachusetts, working on the studio radio station as Sports Director and broadcasting football, basketball and lacrosse on WMUA in Amherst, MA from 1995-1999. He also broadcast select games for the UMass Sports Radio Network during his tenure there as well.
After Graduation, Corey was hired to be the Play-by-play voice for Delaware Blue Hen football and basketball, and is now in his 10th season calling the action.
In addition to doing the Blue Hen games, Corey has done Play-by-play on TV for NCAA college basketball on ESPN Regional, Comcast Sportsnet, Mid-Atlantic Sports Network, CN8, and the New England Sports Network. He was also the Play-by-play voice for CN8's College Lacrosse coverage this past Spring.
In February of 2006, Corey was the Play-by-play voice for Speed Skating on Westwood Radio at the Winter Olympics in
Corey was named the 2003 and 2005 Delaware Sportscaster of the Year by the National Association of Sportscasters and Sportswriters. He is also a four time winner of Best Presentation and Sports Play-by-play by the Delaware Press Association.
