Athens, GA (Nov 16, 2008) - I must admit that hockey traditionally gets short shrift on this site. It is not because of lack of desire. It is because there are only so many hours in a day. While attending the Predators vs Ducks match-up last Friday night, I met a couple of people with sites that may be of interest to readers. What an opportunity to offer some hockey-related content!
Josh Brewster, whose hockey writing has been featured in The Hockey News and Hockey Digest, has a web site called HockeyTalk.biz. There you can find all things audio related to hockey, whether it be the NHL, AHL ECHL or hockey in other countries outside of North America. Even though he is 6' 5", I do need to ask him how the heck Google Ads think that a Rachel Ray diet ad is relevant to his content. He does live in LA, so he must be an actor by default, right? No ESPN sterotyping going on here, as he is an active member of AFTRA and SAG, with a biography/resume over on IMDB.
Finally, a site I have been meaning to tell readers about is "The Hocketcaster", a blog written by 17-year old Steven Niciforo from Long Island, New York. He describes his site as "anything and everything in the world of hockey media from the perspective of a 17 year-old sportscasting wanna-be from the U.S." It is great that he takes his love of a sport and translates it into his own web presence.
So there you go, a wee bit of hockey content for the puckheads out there!

Steve Lepore's Puck the Media blog is excellent in following the hockey media. He's a 19 year old college student and I link to him regularly.
And if you have Kat's e-mail address, tell her that I'm adding her Press Box Prespective to my blogroll.
