Athens, GA (Dec 12, 2008) - While the 2008 SEC Championship had its highest rating ever, as well as the highest rating this season, the Big 12 was dominant over the course of the 2008 season. According to Nielsen, the Big 12 took 7 of the remaining top nine spots in 2008.
King of the Hill: The 2008 SEC Football Championship was thetop-rated college football game this season.

Meanwhile, ESPN will try to eclipse last year's record viewing audience for the Heisman Trophy Award presentation tomorrow night. Given the fact that the Big 12 also has 2 quarterbacks in the running, this may indeed happen.
