Athens, GA (Dec 12, 2008) - This is a little off topic for this site, but is an important to anyone who has had breast cancer, or kows someone who has had it. An old college friend emailed me about one of his colleagues, Ted Banzhaf, who lost his wife in 2007 after a five year battle with breast cancer. To honor her, he has set up a charitable web site that sells pink boxer shorts for men and women. 100% of the profits got to the American Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Here is what Ted says about the effort:

I think most of you know what I have been up to for the past year. I have been building this fund raising company to support the fight against breast cancer. Well, it looks like we are finally ready to go and are starting a big push to get sales going. Our goal is to try to sell 5,000 pairs by the end of the year and then continue into next year to not only raise funds for breast cancer, but to add additional charities and develop a platform. Please do what you can to help me in this effort. These boxers make a great gift and I will tell you that they are the best boxer shorts I have ever encountered. Please forward this to all your friends and encourage them to do the same and let’s make a big difference to the fight against breast cancer!!! Thank you very much for all your help!!

So if you are looking for a gift that is distinctive and for a good cause, be sure and visit the Pink Boxers for Breast Cancer site!
