Get Your Spelling Bee Brackets Ready for Today!

We thought the National Spelling Bee hit the big time when the finals aired on ESPN. But that is obviously not enough for spelling junkies. Now we can catch the raw drama and emotion of Cinderella and the opening rounds on ESPN360!

Spellers from across the country will meet in Washington, D.C. this week for the 2009 Scripps National Spelling Bee, and ESPN360.com has exclusive live coverage of the preliminary rounds Wednesday, May 27, from 1:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. The broadband sports network will also simulcast ESPN’s telecast of the semifinals (Thursday, May 28, at 10 a.m.) and the finals (8 p.m. on ABC).

And yes, there is an app for this.

Bee fans with iPhones and iPod Touch devices can also be part of the spelling action by downloading the ESPN Spelling Bee game application from the iTunes App Store.

Time to get my brackets done!
