Sometimes advance planning is essential for business. But announcing the opening broadcasts for the 2010 College Football season when we are only two weeks into the 2009 season? That would be ESPN at work.

ESPN will be kicking off their 2010 broadcast schedule with...wait for it...Southern Miss at South Carolina on Thursday, September 2, 2010. Seems like ESPN and viewers just can't get enough of the ole ball coach. Of course, he might not even be around next year.

On September 4, 2010, LSU will take on North Carolina in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. This game is a huge economic boost for Atlanta, bringing in tens of millions of dollars that weekend (of course DragonCon is part of that measurement, but who knows how much that brings in).

And so the beat goes on...
