Now is the time for Major League Baseball to get down to business. With the Minnesota Twins winning the exciting one-game playoff over the Detroit Tigers, the New York Yankees finally decided when they wanted to start play.

So here is the TBS Television Schedule for the 2009 Major League Baseball Division Series games. Note that the schedule is not complete as many of the later games and schedules are up in the air. They will be added when released by Turner Sports. The full Turner/TBS press release follows the schedule.

TBS Announces Telecast Schedule for it’s Exclusive Coverage of the MLB Division Series

MLB Postseason coverage gets underway with Division Series Coverage on TBS presented by BlackBerry on Wednesday, October 7 with tripleheader action featuring the best of the American and National League. Leading off will be the NL East Division Champion Philadelphia Phillies hosting the NL Wild Card winner Colorado Rockies at 2:30 p.m. (ET). Brian Anderson (play-by-play), Joe Simpson (analyst) and David Aldridge (reporter) will call the action. If the AL East Division Champion New York Yankees choose to begin their series on Wednesday, they will host the AL Central Division Champion Detroit Tigers/Minnesota Twins at 6 p.m. (ET). Chip Caray (play-by-play), Ron Darling (analyst) and Craig Sager (reporter) will call the game. TBS will have exclusive coverage of the Detroit Tigers @ Minnesota Twins tie-breaker game on Tuesday, October 6 at 5 p.m. (ET). Caray (play-by-play), Darling (analyst), and Sager (reporter) will call the action. If the Yankees choose to begin their series on Thursday, the second game of Wednesday’s tripleheader will be the AL West Division Champion Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim hosting the AL Wild Card winner Boston Red Sox at 6 p.m. (ET). Don Orsillo (play-by-play) will call the game alongside Buck Martinez (analyst) with Tom Verducci reporting. Game three of the October 7 tripleheader will be the NL Central Division Champion St. Louis Cardinals traveling west to face the NL West Division winner Los Angeles Dodgers at 9:30 p.m. (ET). Dick Stockton will handle the play-by-play duties, Bob Brenly will serve as game analyst with Marc Fein reporting.

MLB Postseason action continues on Thursday, October 8 with another tripleheader. NLDS Game #2 between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Colorado Rockies gets underway at 2:30 p.m. (ET). Anderson (play-by-play) and Simpson (analyst) will be in the booth with Aldridge reporting. If the Yankees choose to begin their series on Wednesday, the second game will feature Game #2 between the Cardinals @ Dodgers at 6 p.m. (ET) with Stockton handling the play-by-play, Brenly analyzing the game and Fein reporting. The third game of the night will either feature the Angels hosting the Red Sox in their ALDS Game #1 at 9:30 p.m. (ET) with Orsillo (play-by-play), Martinez (analyst) and Verducci (reporter) calling the game. If the Yankees choose to begin their LDS on Thursday, they will host the Tigers/Twins at 6 p.m. (ET) for Game #1 and the Dodgers would host the Cardinals (Game #2) in the third game of the tripleheader at 9:30 p.m. (ET).

Thirty minutes prior to each day’s first game, TBS will air the pre-game show TBS MLB On Deck featuring Ernie Johnson (host), Dennis Eckersley (analyst), Cal Ripken (analyst) and David Wells (analyst). The network will also conclude each day’s action with the post-game show Inside MLB presented by Captain Morgan featuring Johnson, Eckersley, Ripken and Wells.
