The 2009 NFL Broadcast Assignments for Week 5

2009 NFL Broadcast Assignments for Week 5

Week 5 of the NFL Season and there are six winless teams. NBC Sports gets the short straw this week as they get the 0-4 Tennessee Titans against the Indianapolis Colts. NBC is probably on both knees praying and hoping that Peyton Manning's outstanding play will not keep viewers from watching this matchup.

Fox Sports has some crew juggling to do now that the MLB Playoffs are here. With Dick Stockton covering the Dodgers - Cardinals Division Playoffs for Turner Sports/TBS, Charles Davis joins up with Chris Myers to cover the Minnesota Vikings at the Saint Louis Rams. It is just a little weird that Stockton will be in St. Louis at the same time but just can't do both games. C'mon Dick, if statistician Marty Aronoff can find a way to do 3 games in one day, surely you could pull it off? Then again, it would be asking a lot.

CBS Sports has the doubleheader this week

Byes: Bears, Packers, Saints, Chargers
