For fans of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, there is a good news/bad news scenario for the 2009 broadcast schedule on the ESPN Family of Networks.

The good news is that each of the rounds will receive a record number of hours on the air (both live and repeat showings), and that the starting times on the East coast are at a much better start time.

The tradeoff?




Rounds one through three, and seven through nine will be on ESPN Classic. That means that fans may have to have a higher tier cable or satellite package to see the live coverage. Otherwise they will have to wait for the repeat telecasts on ESPN2, which occur at an ungodly hour in the AM or during a work day.
