During this weekend's curling coverage on the NBC Universal Networks, host Fred Roggin made a quip that NBC really stands for "Nothing But Curling." There is more to this than one might suspect as the CNBC women's curling round robin coverage from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 brought an eight year high for that time period on CNBC.
The 1.8 million viewers was the highest number since February 22, 2002. And this is not the only metric for the growing interest in and curiosity about the sport.
