Talent Profile: Dave Revsine, Lead Studio Host, Big Ten Network

On May 30, 2007, Dave Revsine became the Big Ten Network’s first on-air hire. As lead studio host, Revsine is the primary anchor for BIG TEN TONIGHT, co-hosts BIG TEN FOOTBALL SATURDAY, BIG TEN TIP-OFF SHOW and serves as the play-by-play announcer for selected Big Ten men’s basketball games.

Revsine’s words were the first spoken on the network. When the Big Ten Network launched on August 30, he said, “"Eleven schools, 252 varsity teams, one great network to cover it all. Welcome to the Big Ten Network, your ultimate source for Big Ten sports.” Revsine’s Big Ten roots run deep. The Northwestern graduate was raised in Chicago and grew up following the Big Ten. Revsine came to the Big Ten Network from ESPN where he spent 11 years in a variety of capacities. Although known primarily as a college sports expert, Revsine’s versatility allowed him to fill nearly every role for the network, including anchoring SportsCenter and hosting the studio coverage for a variety of sports, including two World Cups.

He was the host of ESPN Radio's College GameDay for the six years and hosted ESPN Radio's coverage of several BCS Championship games. He also had an extensive role in college basketball, hosting studio halftimes as well as the nightly College GameNight show and the expanded Saturday night Midnight Madness. Revsine also co-hosted ESPN's coverage of the two men's Final Fours and contributed extensive college basketball play-by-play work for the network, including coverage of four Women's NCAA Tournaments and more than 20 men's conference championship games.

Revsine and his family reside in Oak Park, Ill.
