Today Marks the Birth of Instant Replay

Athens, GA (Dec 7, 2007) - Today marks the birth of instant replay in TV Sports. During the Army-Navy game on Dec 7, 1963, CBS Sports director Tony Verna stunned the world with the first use of the tool in a sports broadcast.
