A Simple Thank You That Makes It All Worthwhile

Athens, GA (Jan 16, 2008) - I was taking my late lunch break from the day job yesterday, and checked my e-mail. In there was a simple e-mail that made me feel really good about this young publication and what I am trying to do with it.

It came from Mike Arnold of CBS Sports. Even though he is busy as all get out as the director of this Sunday's AFC Championship game, he took a couple of minutes to thank me for featuring his profile on here.

Keep in mind that I have not seen Mike in at least 14 years (I have not worked any NFL games since I left the Washington, DC area in 1994), and I do not know if he would remember me from a hole in the wall. But the simple "thank you" warms the heart and shows a truly classy guy. When you are doing something for fun and not money, it is the little things like this that go a long way.

So Mike, I thank you for reading and taking the time to send that note!
