Enjoying All-Star Weekend in New York City

New York, New York (Jul 12, 2008) - I had to stay over in the New York Metro area this weekend for work, So I have come to Manhattan for the weekend. Priceline is my friend, so I am staying at the Intercontinental Barclay in Midtown. Why mention where I am? Because this is one of the major hub hotels for Tuesday's All-Start game. I am sitting next to a large marzipan cake that is a replica of Yankee Stadium (pictures to be posted later), a lot of old-timers are walking the lobby and fans are streaming in for their gift packages. With ticket prices for the game as high as they are, they had better get something for their money. I had the chance to buy a ticket at face value for US$525, but that is a bit steep for my blood, even to see Yankee Stadium for the first and last ime in my life.

So I am going to enjoy walking the streets of New York City, seeing all of the Fox Sports branded signs, giveaways and such and get out of dodge tomorrow before the real crunch starts.
