Photo Gallery: Georgia's Heisman Hopefuls Take First Dawg Walk of Season

Athens, GA (Aug 30, 2008) - Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford and running back Knowshon Moreno have been mentioned as candidates for the Heisman Trophy this year. Stafford did his part, completing 13-21 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns. Moreno was less productive with 59 yards on 8 carries, and 53 yards on two receptions. The big number was the 3 touchdowns he scored, injuring himself on the 3rd, a 24 yard touchdown run less than a minute into the 3rd quarter.

In these pictures, Stafford and Moreno are taking part in the pre-game ritual known as the Dawg Walk, where players and coaches enter the stadium through a gauntlet of fans.
