Update on Bob Trumpy's Departure from Westwood One

Athens, GA (Sept 6, 2008) - Thanks to a reader of this site, who asked to remain anonymous, we now have the reason for Bob Trumpy's departure from Westwood One's NFL Sunday Night NFL package:
"I was listening to WFAN's Boomer and Carton radio program this week, and they had Trumpy on as a guest. He indicated that he would not be returning to Westwood One this season and that it was his decision. He even said that when he informed them, they were not too pleased. He said the travel was getting to him, so he would be working out of Cincinnati this season locally."
So thanks to this reader for the information. It sure goes a long way to explaining the curt responses received from the network.

Don't you think Westwood One could have at least said, "He no longer works here.." instead of the terse statement they gave you? Strange.
