FSN North Wants Outdoorsmen to Remember Their Condoms
Some things just do not sink into your consciousness until someone points them out. This includes when someone on Facebook notes that the FSN North video promotions for Due North Outdoors look like they always start with an image of a rolled condom:
Perhaps it really does not look like one? Well some people may say this looks like a more subliminal message:
Notice the graphic as it is placed under host Laura Schara. It looks even more like an unrolled condom, with an arrow pointed at her.
It is not really clear what the round thing is supposed to be. But if networks like FSN North are going to play in the social networking universe, they need to be careful of how people perceive their graphics. Why? Because perception is in the eye of the beholder and some people just may take offense in our hypersensitive society.
Don't believe me? Just take a look at this image and ask yourself how it could possibly result in the threat of a sexual harassment complaint:
Yes, an employee I worked with way back when threatened to file a sexual harassment complaint unless I removed the image from an Intranet web site. You can read more about that over on our sister site, "The Business Controls Caddy."

First,it was not posted because we normally do not allow anonymous comments.
Second, what was there to be wrong about? When tongue is in cheek, and it is not clear what the heck it is in the promo, there is nothing to be wrong about.
