Coming Back From a Short Hiatus at Eye on Sports Media
It has been an event-filled past 4-5 weeks that led to an unscheduled hiatus here on Eye on Sports Media. A major change in my full-time career, a changes that required my full and undivided attention, kept me beyond busy. Now that the transitions just about done, it is time to come back to this site as time allows. We will pick up tomorrow evening with a series of stories about the ESPN World Cup production and more. Oh I Did Not Hear the "N" Word on the NBA Finals Last Night!
I would like to be able to say that I imagined hearing the ESPN audio picking up some Boston Celtic using the "N" word on last night's broadcast of the NBA Finals on ABC Television. But I did not. I heard it and others did too. Surely there was enough time after they went to a commercial break to acknowledge the gaffe and apologize to the viewing audience.
