Roberto Abramowitz is the voice of many United States sports for the Spanish-speaking audience. This is his profile as published by the ESPN Networks.

Roberto Abramowitz was raised in Mexico City but is a true New Yorker, quick with insightful commentary on any subject, especially football. An experienced journalist who is part of "los Knicks en español" radio team, Abramowitz last year reached the pinnacle of Spanish-language broadcasting as an analyst for "Monday Night Football", and play-by-play of NHL hockey, the U.S. National Soccer Team and MLS soccer during ABC Sports' SAP productions.

Abramowitz, can be heard up and down the Americas in both Spanish and English on ESPN International. He is an anchor for "SportsCenter International," a half-hour Spanish-language version of the award-winning show. He broadcasts hockey in Spanish, working either play-by-play or color on NHL games. Last year he made his English-language soccer debut, calling play-by-play for a Spanish League match broadcast worldwide, including in the U.S. on ESPN2.

Abramowitz also serves as editor-in-chief of ESPN Deportes.com, ESPN's Spanish-language Internet effort. He has been charged with guiding the site's editorial content and philosophy.

Abramowitz has shifted easily between languages and cultures all his life. He previously worked at El Diario-La Prensa, New York City's leading Spanish-language newspaper, as sports editor, metro editor and assistant to the publisher. In Mexico City he was host of a rock-and-roll radio show on Mexico's leading rock station, WFM.

Film credits include co-writing and narrating "Todos los Corazones del Mundo," the official film of the XV FIFA World Cup. An avid pool player, Abramowitz is single and lives in Manhattan's Upper West Side.
