Job Description | CBS Sports is looking for a passionate individial (sic), with a strong knowledge of sports, to join their theam (sic) as Chief Researcher. The Chief Researcher oversees all the research information for the NFL, NCAA Football, and NCAA Basketball. He/She provides interesting stats and facts to the production crews, and is responsible for answering questions from the production crews and talent. The Chief Researcher will be in charge of a 4-person staff during the week, assisting with the daily and weekly tasks. On weekends, the Chief supervises a room of about 20 people, monitoring NFL games and many NCAA games while reporting to the studio producers any newsworthy items. |
Required Skills/Experience | The ideal candidate for this position will have 2 years minimum experience in sports production (TV, Radio or Internet). Superior communication skills are essential for this role as it requires establishing relations and working closely with on-air talent, producers, associate producers and broadcast associates. The Chief Researcher will also be in daily communication with PR directors and SID’s. |
